2016 Hops & Props Festival

1098419_186655574840299_1141922896_nWords cannot express how excited I am to pour a gluten-free beer for this year’s Hops & Props festival (*Evening Session*), which takes place tomorrow Feb. 27 at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City.

Hops & Props is a draft only festival and located at truly unique and historic venue. Since I’ve been told that the festival is one of the best festivals to attend on Long Island, I immediately wanted to brew a special beer for this year’s festival.

My friend Jason Scott and I brewed a 6% gluten-free beer, made with sorghum syrup, chinook hops, orange peel, and apricot extract. The aroma of these two fruits captures the sweet essence of a woman. With that said, and to highlight the aviation experience, we named this beer “Earhart G-Free Ale,” after aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart.

I hope you will join me in the evening session to try our beer that everyone (including Celiacs) can enjoy. I will be at my home-brew club table, Handgrenades Hombrew & Craft Beer Club.

Tickets start at $65 for two general admission sessions (Afternoon: 1pm-4pm / Evening: 7pm-10pm). VIP tickets, designated driver tickets are also available. To purchase your ticket, visit HopsandProps.com.
