2nd Annual Cask Ale Festival at The Mill Roadhouse

The second annual Cask Ale Festival fundraiser benefitting The Barton Center for Diabetes Education Campership Program will take place at The Mill Roadhouse on April 8. Once again, the fundraisier will feature cask ales donated by Long Island Breweries, live music, and raffles. However, this year, the festival will include wine from Martha Clara Vineyards and hard cider from Austineast Ciders.

Cask Ale Festival is organized by Karl MacDonald and Jen Davis. Davis, who is a homebrewer, also volunteers for Barton Camp.

“I feel like I get more out of being there than I could ever give back,” Davis said. “I love the comradery and sameness that being at camp affords all of us. There is no need to explain, we are all in he same boat.”

Last year the festival raised over $3,000. This year Davis hopes to double that number.

“[My] inspiration are the kids I can help who may not be otherwise able to attend camp due to financial constraints,” she said. “All of the money is donated to the Campership program, pricing financial aid.”

The full list of participating breweries is expected to grow as the date approaches, but the breweries that are attending include:
