It’s easy to let time pass by when you’re schlepping to your job that you love too much, but then Friday comes and you grab that ice cold beer (or in my case, cider), and everything is forgotten. All of the times you got pinged at work, the nagging supervisors, and dumb coworkers who you don’t even know how they even got hired.

Maybe you’re heading home by train, bus, subway…or maybe you’re stuck in traffic (hopefully not texting and driving though) and realize that you didn’t catch up on your brew news for the week. Don’t worry! I have you covered with the weekly News on Tap, a quick overview of what’s going on in the beer world.

SC Times – July 30, 2015

Just 11 companies brew 90 percent of beers sold in the US
FOX News – July 29, 2015
Market Watch finds that a staggering 90% of all beers sold in the U.S. in 2014 came from just 11 companies. Though there are more than 3,400 breweries in the U.S., about 1,400 of those beer makers are not producing beer that’s sold in bars or on store shelves.
