I’d like to share bittersweet news this morning with all of you. This is my last week at 1940s Brewing Co. These past 18 months flew by, but I will remember every moment, especially our milestones: beertending the day 1940s opened its doors, our first can release, and our expansion to outside sales. My father has always said that when you find a job you love, you will never work a day in your life. I can confidently say that I now believe in this mantra. While working at 1940s, I dedicated my life to bringing exposure to the brand and happily treated the brewery as if it were my own. However, now it’s time for me to make a change in my life so I can continue growing.
So before I go, I’d like to express my gratitude for this experience:
Firstly, thank you Jon, Charlie, and the 1940s family for giving me the opportunity to grow as your first beertender and sales representative. I will always remember our first meeting years ago at a beer festival when I interviewed you for a vlog. I followed your dream of opening up a brewery and in return, you adopted me into your journey. I am humbled that you chose me to be part of your brew family, and I will always treasure this experience.
Secondly, I’d like to thank my customers who faithfully visited me weekly. I may have been your photographer, therapist, beertender, and comedian, but you have and will always be my family. You made my days brighter, treated me with respect, and gave me memories that I will never forget. I hope we cross paths at some point again.
Lastly, a special thank you to every bar and restaurant manager, owner, bartender, server, who took the time out of their busy schedules to meet with me, try 1940s beer, and maintain a relationship with me. The beer market is competitive, yet you have been loyal to local breweries. I wish you well with your business, and I hope we will continue to work in the future.
As sad as I am to leave, I am eager to see what is ahead. Thank you and farewell!
